Wat Rong Khun — The White Temple

Wat Rong Khun is the life's work of artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who rebuilt a ruined temple in 1997 as a mirror-encrusted white vision of Buddhist cosmology and has been extending it ever since.
You cross a bridge over a field of reaching hands — the cycle of desire — to enter a hall whose murals mix traditional Buddhist imagery with rockets, superheroes and burning towers.
