Old City, Chiang Mai
Wat Chiang Man

Wat Chiang Man was built by King Mangrai in 1296 as he founded Chiang Mai, and he lived here while the city was under construction.
Its elephant-buttressed chedi is one of the finest in the north, and the temple holds two small, highly venerated Buddha images: the crystal Phra Sae Tang Khamani and the marble Phra Sila.
