Hall of Opium

Part of the Golden Triangle Park project, the Hall of Opium traces five thousand years of the poppy — from ancient medicine to the Opium Wars to the hill tribe economies of the Golden Triangle and the royal crop-substitution programmes that replaced them.

The approach through a dark tunnel of carved reliefs is one of the most striking museum entrances in Asia.
